Amazon is adding Venmo as a payment option on Amazon.com and the Amazon app, giving the e-commerce giant access to 90 million users of the mobile payment service.

Amazon announced Tuesday that the new choice during checkout will start to roll out to select customers and be available to all of its U.S. customers by Black Friday.

To get started, customers can add their Venmo account as a payment method in their Amazon account. Venmo can then be selected as a payment method during checkout, and if desired, Venmo can be set as the default method of payment.

Founded in 2009, Venmo has been owned by PayPal since 2012, and is a popular service among friends and family looking to swap money for shared meals, entertainment, goods and more.

Amazon and Venmo both said that the transactions are secure and protected by Amazon’s back-end technology and its A-to-z Guarantee, as well as Venmo Purchase Protection, which applies to eligible purchases.
