Seattle-based cybersecurity company ExtraHop, which was acquired in a private equity deal last year, hired four new executives.

  • Matt Parson joins as chief financial officer. He was previously CFO at Paymentus, a Redmond, Wash-based payments company.
  • Christine Nurnberger joins as chief marketing officer. She was previously CMO at Bottomline, a business payment automation company based in New Hampshire.
  • Lauren Zajac joins as chief legal officer. She was previously at Workhuman, an HR software giant based in Ireland.
  • John Hoffman joins as chief people officer. He was previously chief people and productivity officer at Alvaria, a contact center company based in Massachusetts.

Private equity firms Bain Capital and Crosspoint Capital acquired ExtraHop in a $900 million deal.

The 15-year-old company, which employs 700 people, earlier this year hired Patrick Dennis as CEO following the retirement of the previous CEO, Arif Kareem. ExtraHop co-founders Jesse Rothstein, chief technology officer, and Raja Mukerji, chief customer officer, both remain at the company in their respective roles.

Other key personnel moves across the Pacific Northwest tech industry:

  • Madrona Venture Group hired former Steadfast and Trinity Ventures investor Karan Mehandru as managing director. Mehandru will lead the Seattle firm’s new Silicon Valley office.
  • USAFacts hired Michelle Broderick as chief marketing officer of the nonprofit organization that compiles U.S. government data and was founded by former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Broderick was previously a marketing leader at Esalen Institute, Automattic, Simple Finance, Geocaching, Uber, Yelp, and Real Networks.
  • Tim Collins, former vice president of Amazon Logistics who was most recently a senior vice president at Gopuff, is joining logistics giant Flexport as senior vice president of operations. He’ll reunite with former Amazon consumer chief Dave Clark, who is taking over as CEO at Flexport this week.
  • Mary Camarata, a longtime communications leader at Amazon Web Services, is departing the Seattle tech giant.
  • Jeff Ma, who leads Microsoft for Startups, is reportedly leaving the company.
  • Matthew Sink, former senior director of operations at mobility company Spin, joined Poland-based childcare company The Village as chief operating officer.
  • The Washington Health Alliance named longtime physician and former Cambia Health Solutions exec Dr. Drew Oliveira as executive director. He replaced Nancy Giunto, who retired after eight years leading the Seattle-based nonprofit that aims to help improve the state’s healthcare system.
