Seattle based mostly pc schooling nonprofit Code.org is teaming with the British rock band Coldplay for a contest aimed toward inspiring extra children to study coding by means of the fun of music and dancing.

The trouble — hashtagged as #codeplay on social media — launched final week and youngsters world wide can enter for an opportunity to win Coldplay live shows tickets or get a classroom video chat with the band.

Code.org is encouraging children to “be a part of the Dance Get together” by coding choreography to the Coldplay single “Increased Energy.” Dance Get together teaches children to code in a 10-step tutorial. Creations may be posted on social media or submitted to Code.org and the nonprofit will be a part of the band in sharing and commenting on their favorites.

Coldplay promoted the competition on Fb. In each metropolis on the band’s “Music of the Spheres” tour, two college students and two chaperones shall be picked to obtain free tickets to the live performance.
