Jigx, a Seattle-area mobile software development company founded in 2020, just landed new funding from former Nike COO Erik Sprunk, who has joined the board of directors.

The startup has raised $9 million to date from investors including Seattle-area venture capital firm Fuse.

Jigx aims to help companies speed up development and save costs when building their mobile apps for iOS and Android.

The 26-person company is led by co-founder Adriaan Van Wyk, the former CEO and founder of process application developer K2 Software, which was acquired by Nintex in 2020. He started Jigx with Grant Dickinson, a former colleague at K2 who previously spent a decade at Microsoft.

“It allows solution companies to build a new generation of productivity apps for their customers enabling business-to-business, business-to-customer (not consumer) and business-to-employee solutions,” Van Wyck said of Jigx’s product.

Jigx customers include Motul, which makes high-performance lubricants for the motorsports industry and uses apps for its network of resellers, and aeromedical company Life Flight Australia, which uses apps for to help helicopter pilots plan and operate missions.

Sprunk, who retired from Nike in 2020 after 27 years at the retail giant, also sits on the boards of General Mills and Providence, and is a venture partner at Fuse.
